Brad was the perfect gentleman. A humble veteran and a great contributor to the Fayette Co. community. I always enjoyed saving WW II calendars for him each year and talking about fried wild rabbit and all the things in the world (outside) he liked to remember and talk about. I will always remember him as a good friend and my wife Sue (RN LTC) always thought he was the best!! We share in your loss - he was one "Great Guy"!!

My husband, Gary and I always loved visiting with Brad. My dad was in the Long Term Care with him 8 years ago. They were both veterans of WWII. Brad was always smiling and making others feel welcome. May he rest in peace. He was a wonderful friend!

Brad will be truly missed, he was a great friend of my husband James L Smith, who was also WWII veteran and they had many good times reminiscing..
I never knew Brad to have a bad day, every time I saw him he had a smile on his face and a kind word to share. We became friends many years ago when we moved in next door to Brad & Nell by the water plant. We very much enjoyed spending time with Brad and Nell! Heaven has gained a windchime builder extraordinaire but I will always remember that big smile and even bigger heart. Prayers for everyone grieving his passing.
Sorry to learn of Brad's passing. I was able to visit with Brad about a year ago this past summer, when I was in Vandalia for the day. The thing I will always remember is every time he saw me he would always say, "trooper Dean the best trooper I ever seen."
Brad was a great guy and a good friend.

I am sorry to hear of Brad's passing. I play piano at Vandalia LTC and Brad was always there, cheering me as I played. He was a good old friend that I always looked forward to seeing. I will greatly miss him.
