Gary and I were born the same evening in 1949 at the old Vandalia hospital. I was born before midnight and he was born after. We rode the school bus together for 12 years. I remember when he got a Bat Masterson cane and ring when the TV show came out. Ten thousand funny jokes and experiences. Four Mile Store was a real hub of activity for the whole community back then with Carl Wahburn running it. What a great place and time to grow up. I'm proud to call Gary my friend.
