We moved from the area approx.30 years ago, however, came thru Vandalia about 8 years ago and ran into Roy. A wonderful person, great sense of humor and always there to help the teenagers out. I can remember many times he pulled them out, and no questions asked. One fantastic guy! The area will miss his great personality. Prayers are with you Roy!
We have been neighbors of Roy since he moved back to Vandalia. he will be missed. R.I.P.nelsan
To all of Roys' friends: I met Roy when I was eighteen. Yes, he always had the best cars & trucks. What was great about Roy was his wonderful sense of humor and he always gave compliments( especially to the ladies). We had at least one thing in common--"The Rolling Stones." Roy,I hope there is lots of "rock & roll" in Heaven. You will be missed!
I never really knew Roy personally, he was several classes ahead of me. My last strong remembrance of Roy is him behind the wheel of his brand new 1964 Chevy Impala Super Sports convertible with the 409 engine. Made an impression. So long, Roy.
To Friends of Roy
I counted Roy also as a very wonderful friend.
Always had a smile and had time to visit.
Roy will be missed by Mike and me and I am sure by all his friends.
