September 23, 1936 - March 23, 2017

Betty Ann Stinebring, 80, of Brownstown passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Rev. Olan Evans officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services from 12:00pm-2:00pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown. Memorials may be made to Griffith Cemetery in Brownstown. Betty Ann Stinebring was born September 23, 1936 in Vandalia, the daughter of Noah J. and Edna Lucille (Trexler) Deverick. She married Robert “Bob” Dean Stinebring on September 10, 1954 in Vandalia. Betty was employed by Red Fox Foods in Brownstown and then after her retirement became a babysitter for several families. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Brownstown and was very family oriented. Mrs. Stinebring is survived by daughter Vickie Simmons of Vandalia; daughter Ronda and husband Jeff Hoffmann of Greenville; son Dennis Stinebring and wife Suzanne of Brownstown; sister Lucille Smith of Vandalia; brother Russell Deverick of Decatur; grandchildren Barry Otto of Bingham, Kelli and husband Sam Elsworth of Greenville, Daniel Hoffmann and wife Tamara of Greenville, Trevor Simmons of Vandalia, Morgan Stinebring of Brownstown, and Chris Stinebring of Mahomet; and great grandchildren Madison Miller, Lexi Otto, Riley Otto, Justin Hoffmann, and Daniel Hoffman Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Clarence Deverick, Floyd Deverick, Lloyd Deverick; and sister Lois Nave
