Donald Vincent Jones, 73, of Ramsey, IL passed away at home on the morning of December 25, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 29, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ramsey, with Rev. Fr. Adam Pritchard officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Ramsey, with military rites accorded. Visitation will be held prior to mass from 9:00-11:00 AM, Friday, December 29, 2017, at the church. Memorials may be made to the Ramsey School District #204. Donald Vincent Jones was born January 8, 1944 in Peoria, IL, the son of Byron and Loretta (O’Conner) Jones. He married Margaret Ann Staff on November 4, 1967 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ramsey. Don was a US Navy Veteran, and a self-employed brick layer working in the Decatur and Springfield area. He enjoyed spending time with and babysitting his many grandchildren, fishing, and hunting. Don was also a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jones of Ramsey; sons, Donald Jones Jr. of Honolulu, HI, Christopher Jones and wife Jan of Bloomfield, IN, and Danny Jones and fiancé Diane Cessna of West Baden Springs, IN; daughters, Jennifer Vorreyer of Springfield, IL, Angie Marley and husband Allen of Ramsey, IL, Sarah Williams and husband Dale of Bingham, IL, Katie Hayes and husband Adam of Ramsey, IL; grandchildren, Kiana, Kayla, Ryan, Connor, Jake, Zach, Tyler, Ryan “Bub”, Wyatt, Ayden, Violet, Levi, Madison, Jaxon, Brenna, Ben, and Kelsey; great-granddaughter, Jaezlyn; and five sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Deborah Jones; and a grandson, baby Dale.
