Gabrielle Aliese "Gabby" Harl, 16, of Ramsey, IL passed away at 8:16pm, Thursday, October 31, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Ramsey, with visitation from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Ramsey. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia, IL. The Rev. Terry Sapp will officiate. Memorials may be given to the family of Gabby Harl. Gabby was born Aug. 5, 1997, in Mattoon, IL, the daughter of Mike Harl and Sandra (Thoman) Gibson. She was a sophomore at Ramsey High School. She is survived by her father, Mike Harl, and friend, Karen Angey, of Windsor, IL.; mother, Sandra (Thoman) Gibson, and husband, Troy, of Ramsey, IL.; paternal grandfather Lewis Harl, and wife, Dorothy, of Widsor, IL.; maternal grandmother, Ardith Carmen, of husband, Ernie, of Pocahontas, IL.; step-grandmother, Shirlene Thoman of Rockford, IL.; step-grandfather, Clyde Gibson and wife, Joyce Kimbell, of Longview, TX.; sisters: Rachele Bedell and husband, Jeremy, of Bruceville, IN.; Michelle Ruffner and husband, Jesse of Altamont, IL.; Danielle Harl and friend, Jared Wells, of Lakewood, IL.; Arielle Harl and friend, Dayne Huckaba, of Neoga, IL.; Chantelle Harl and friend, Nathan Laskowski, of Decatur, IL.; step-brothers: David Gibson of Ramsey, IL.; Derek Gibson of Fillmore, IL.; step-sister, Shelby Mitchell of Sullivan, IL.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Harold Thoman and paternal grandmother Phyllis Seals.
