Hugh Doyle Barton

Hugh Doyle Barton, 81, of Sheridan, IL, passed away at 6:10am, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Evergreen Nursing Home, Effingham, IL. A Memorial services for Mr. Barton will be held at 12:00, noon, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Plano Christian Church, Plano, IL with visitation 1 hour prior at the church.  Memorials may be made to the family of Doyle Barton to help with funeral and medical expenses.   Doyle was born April 3, 1934 in Royston, GA, the son of Earnest and Cornelia (Carruth) Barton. He married Alda M. (King) Barton on April 3, 1987 in Las Vegas, NV.  He was a retired mechanic from General Mills, a campground host at Shabbona State Park, and worked at Mallard Bend Campground.  He is a US Army Veteran and was affiliated with the Christian Faith.  He is survived by his wife Alda; daughters Suse Whitt of Plano, IL and Cindy Kennedy of Canon, GA; step son Leland Patrick of Shobonier, IL; Step Daughter Diane King of Bluff City, IL; brother John Barton of Bowman, GA; sister Nancy Orr of Charleston, SC; 12 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Augusta "Chris", sisters Erline, Kathleen, and Martha, brother Jim, great grandson Michael, and step son George.
