Mabel Lucille “Lucy” Marcolini, 83, of Taylor Springs formerly of Vandalia passed away on March 17, 2022 at her home in Taylor Springs, IL. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Pastor Wesley Bell officiating. Interment will follow at McInturff Cemetery, rural Vandalia. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Four Mile Christian Church, or Fayette County Cancer Fund. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com. Mabel Lucille Black was born March 01, 1939 in Bowling Green Twp. Fayette County, IL, the daughter of William R. and Veta (Leigh) Black. Lucy married Harold Jackson December 24, 1957; together they shared 41 years of marriage before his passing in 1999. She then married Orville Haywood; he preceded in death in 2006. She later married Andrew Marcolini on April 11, 2010; he preceded her in death in 2017. Lucy worked as a secretary while her and her husband Harold lived in Chicago, she then worked at Gene’s Red Fox Grocery Store in Brownstown after moving back to Fayette County, Lucy also did in home healthcare in the late 70’s and early 80s all while maintaining a balanced home and caring for her children. Lucy was a member of Four Mile Christian Church in Brownstown and Women of the Moose. Often you would find Lucy dancing and socializing multiple times a week. She is survived by her sons, John Allen Jackson and James Michael Jackson, both of Vandalia; significant other, Arthur Gutierrez of Taylor Springs; brother, Mark Black of Ramsey; grandchildren, Ashley Jackson, William Jackson, Cassandra Jackson; Gabrielle Koon, and Kari Jackson; step children, Dedra Linn, Stacey Corca, Janetta Burossard, Susan Martin, Joseph Haywood, Kenneth Haywood, Beth Paris, Karen Brookfield, Randall Marcolini, Arthur Gutierrez Jr., Marsha Flowers, and Christopher Gutierrez; many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; caregiver and sister-in-law, Vangie Marsee. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son, Bradley Joe Jackson; brothers, William Black and Melvin Black; sister, Marilyn Smith; daughter-in-law, Lisa Jackson; and step-daughters, Dorita Haywood, Lorita Aldana, and Angel Harrall.
