Al was one of the greatest friends I have ever had. So many great times and memories with him. I am at a loss for words. I send my best to his family, especially Karen and his daughters. I wish I would have had the chance to meet them. Their daddy was a fantastic guy and beloved by many.

I have been friends with Alan (his mom used to hate it when we called him Al) since we were kids at Saratoga School. We played many sports together and had spent the night at each others houses as kids. We lost touch after high school, but I would always get updates from his mom when I would see her around town. This saddens me to hear that such a great person is gone too soon. My thoughts and prayers go out to Alan's family.
