Janine, I am so sorry for your loss. It has been a long time since Susie and I saw you and Don. Moving changes seeing people. Don was 3 years older than myself. Back in high school he was like my big brother in that he took me to the drive in, he took me to 4-H and looking back now, he watched out for the little guy, me. Memories live on for ever.
Oh my! What a shock. We left for our winter home the day before Don died. Both of us know and understand what the whole family is going through right now. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
I just wanted to let you all know I am lifting you up in prayer during this very difficult chapter of your lives. I know there are NO words to fill the huge hole in your hearts right now. Only God can fill that. I do know that He will send you peace and lessen the hurt. Hold tight to your faith! You have a lot of friends praying for you! I truly do understand the pain of your loss. If I can help in anyway...a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, anything.... please let me know! (The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18)

Dear Lotz Family: I have been thinking about all of you so much these past few days. I have many fond memories of the time I was in Vandalia, and your family played a big role in many of them. I will always remember Donnie as the smiling, silent guy - never heard him say a bad word about anybody (maybe a referee)and always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was always there to watch his kids in sports and was so proud. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers, and please know that you have so much love and support in the surrounding community.
