March 16, 1960 - April 26, 2022

Randy Michael Schukar, 62, of Vandalia, IL, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 01, 2022 at Overcup Baptist Church, rural Vandalia with Rev. Doug Wodtka officiating. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 PM, Sunday, May 01, 2022 at Overcup Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue or to Overcup Baptist Church. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com Randy Michael Schukar was born on March 16, 1960 in Vandalia, IL, the son of Orville L. “Sug” and Kathryn L. “Katie” (Hobler) Schukar. He was a Vandalia Community High School graduate and was currently employed by FAYCO Enterprises, Inc. Randy was a kind hearted, God fearing, music loving, wrestling fanatic. His first and foremost love was for God, but he also had a passion for music that allowed him to minister to several different people throughout the community. He cherished the time spent with his family; whether it was travelling to a wrestling event or on the many cruises that he had the chance to take. Randy lived life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face. Mr. Schukar is survived by his sister, Judy and husband Bob Varga; brother, Rob Schukar and wife Lisa; both of Vandalia; nieces, Holly Norris, Heidi Upchurch, and Megan and husband Heath McDowell; 1 great-nephew; and 5 great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Schukar.
