Amy L. Greenman Evans, 45, of Vandalia, IL, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at her home in Vandalia, after a recent cancer diagnosis.
Per the wishes of the family, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services held at this time. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
Amy Lynn Terrell was born on September 19, 1978 in Clinton, OK, the daughter of Leonard L. and Jeannie L. (Kness) Terrell. She married Charles Ray Evans Sr. on July 12, 2023. Although they were married just a short time, they had spent the last 12 years together. Amy was a homemaker; she had two daughters and took in Charles’ two sons as her own.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Evans of Vandalia; mother, Jeannie Terrell of Cushing, OK; daughters, Paige Greenman and Leslie Greenman, both of IA; sons, Charles Evans Jr. and Derick Evans, both of Vandalia; sister, Christy and husband Toby Weschke of Amarillo, TX; brother, Matthew Terrell and wife Amy of Cushing, OK; brother, Harold Terrell and wife Jennifer of Clinton, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and a great-nephew, Elias Eakins.
