Anita Griffin's Obituary
Anita Griffin, 91, of Vandalia, passed away at 10:30 Pm,
Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Fayette County Hospital Long Term
Care.
Services will be held at 11;00 AM, Monday, April 2, 2012 at the
First United Methodist Church of Vandalia. Visitation will be
held from 5:00-7:00 Pm, Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the First United
Methodist Church of Vandalia and also 1 hour prior to services
Monday. A private family burial will be held at a later
time.
Mrs. Griffin was born November 8, 1920, daughter of Harrold E.
and Nota Ann (Randolph) Thompson. She married Charles B.
Griffin June 12, 1940 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in
death March 13, 1999.
She was a registered nurse and a homemaker, and a member of the
First United Methodist Church of Vandalia.
She is survived by daughters Rebecca Ann
Meyer and husband Phil, Osage Beach, MO and Deborah Kay Harmeier
and husband Ronnie, Shobonier, IL; son Charles Philip Griffin and
wife Mary, Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Dana Myers and husband
Rick, Angela Weir and husband Trey, Kim Kasica, Kelly Lange, Katie
Bieker, and Sarah Griffin; great grandchildren Paige Kasica,
Griffin Kasica, Holly Goldsmith, Heidi Goldsmith, Audrey Myers,
Andrew Myers, Abbey Bieker, and Laura Bieker.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
husband and a sister Betty E. Wright.
