Barbara Mason's Obituary
Barbara Ann Mason, 69, of Vandalia, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012
at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM, Thursday, March 8,
2012 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia. Graveside
Service and interment will be held at 10:45 AM, Thursday, March 8,
2012 at Union Cemetery, Vandalia with Rev. Harry Kirk
officiating. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes
Association.
Mrs. Mason was born November 22, 1942 in Vandalia, daughter of
Carl and Dorothy (Miller) Eckhardt. She worked at IGA and Chick's
Package Liquor in Vandalia.
She is survived by son Jim Mason and special friend LuAnn
Nestrick both of Vandalia; daughter Carla and husband Jon Larson of
Bluff City; grandchildren Chris Mason and wife Stephanie,
Tiffany Hipsher and husband Jason, Craig Mason, Tina Larson, and
Clint Mason; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren;
brothers Dick Eckhardt and wife Janet of Altamont, Kenny Eckhardt
and wife Marilyn of Bluff City, and John Eckhardt and wife Marsha
of Vandalia; sister-in-law Janet Eckhardt of Bluff City;
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, brother Larry
Eckhardt, infant brother Gary Eckhardt
