Belva Lee Daniels' Obituary
Mary "Belva Lee" Daniels, 89, of Vandalia passed away at 5:15am,
Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia,
IL.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, November 7, 2014 at
Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia with Rev. Kurt Simon
officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to
services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairlawn
Cemetery, Vandalia. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
Belva Lee was born November 10, 1924 in Shobonier, the daughter
of Morgan and Anna (Courson) Henry. She married to Marvin
"Corky" Ehrat and had three children. She later married Cyril
R. Daniels on December 5, 1988 in Mayfield, KY; he preceded her in
death on March 17, 2002. Belva Lee was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church of Vandalia and American Legion
Auxiliary. She worked as a beautician and loved gardening,
flowers and playing BINGO, but she especially loved her family.
Belva Lee is survived by her children, daughters, Sandra and
husband Gary Brumfield of Vandalia, IL and Carolyn and husband Ken
Miller of Camdenton, MO; son Max Ehrat and wife Kathy of Vernon,
IL; sister Ruby Henry of Vandalia; grandchildren Myra Pessina,
Travis Miller, Kyle Miller, Kindra Ehrat, Bryant Ehrat, Cliff Smith
and Jedediah Smith; step grandchildren John Daniels Jr. and Roger
Daniels; several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren
and many close special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cyril, father
of her children Marvin "Corky", and sister Daisy Blalock.
