William T. “Bill” Dunn, 71, of rural Vandalia, IL, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at his home.
A Graveside Service & Interment will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Duncan Cemetery, Tamalco, IL with Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from Noon-1:00PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia. William Thomas Dunn was born on August 15, 1951 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Harold Thomas and Madelene Virginia (Hunt) Dunn. He married Linda Lou (Greek) on August 22, 1970; with this union, they celebrated nearly 24 years of marriage and raised two children. She preceded him in death on May 23, 1994. He later married Linda Ann (Shurley) on April 20, 2001; they shared 7 years of marriage before her passing on September 25, 2008.
Bill was a retired transportation engineer; owning and operating his own company, “Dunn Transportation.” He thoroughly appreciated each and every minute spent in his profession and considered it more of a hobby than work. When able, Bill enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Dunn is survived by his son, Billy Joe Dunn; daughter, Brandi Dunn; grandson, Christopher Brandtonies; brother, David Dunn; and sister, Mary Dunn; all of Vandalia; and sister, Rose Alexander of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Lou; wife, Linda Ann; and brothers, James Dunn, Raymond Dunn, and John Dunn.
