Blake M. Sefton, 27, of Vandalia, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 06, 2024, at his home.
A Private Family Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation for family and close friends will be held for one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM, Thursday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Family of Blake Sefton to aide with funeral expenses or to Second Chance Animal Rescue to commemorate his love for all animals. Blake Michael Sefton was born on October 30, 1996 in Centralia, IL, the son of Michael Alan Sefton and Deborah Lynn (Moake) Sefton. Blake was a certified welder and former member of the Pipeliners Local Union #798. Most recently, he was working in the construction trade; employed by Sheldon Schulte Construction, Inc. Blake enjoyed fishing, racing, and playing video games. He also had an avid love for his three dogs, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
He will be forever missed by his father, Michael Sefton of Vandalia; mother, Deborah Sefton of Vandalia; sister, Brittany and husband Pierce Strobel of Brownstown; sister, Kel-C Sefton of Vandalia; nieces & nephews, Alaina Strobel, Halle Sefton, Wade Strobel, Jordan Sefton, Collin Strobel; canine companions, Chief, Sadie, Hazel; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family & friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Maryann Sefton and Judy Lewis.
