Brandi Bolyard's Obituary
Brandi L. (Brown) Bolyard, 48, of Opelika, AL, passed away on Tuesday, November 04, 2025, at her home after complications from a recent operation.
Per Brandi’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM, Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia. There will be a Celebration of Life held immediately following services at the Senior Citizen Center, Vandalia. Interment will take place in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue. Online condolences can be expressed at https://www.hohltandfilefh.com.
Brandi Leigh Brown was born on August 19, 1977, in Vandalia, IL, to Charles David and Jeffrey “Lynn” (Lunceford) Brown. Throughout her life, Brandi was devoted to helping others, working in home health care and serving as an emergency medical technician. She also spent time as a bartender at the Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447, where she was a valued member. Brandi was known for her humor, outgoing nature, adventurous spirit, and deep compassion. She had a special affection for animals—especially dogs—and found great joy in spending time with her family and preparing meals for them.
She will forever be remembered by her daughter, Kourtney Callahan and husband Jordan of Vandalia; significant other, Jay Standish Jr. of Opelika, AL; sister, Amy Lenderman of Opelika, AL; nephews, Chad Brown and wife Renee, Marc Nelson, Jarrett Brown, and Charles Brown; niece, Hailey Lenderman; her beloved canine companions, Sadie and Belle; and her “grand pups”, Khaleesi, Arya, Myrcella, Roxy, and Cersei.
Brandi was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Stephanie Carter.
