Bruce Petersen's Obituary
Bruce W. Petersen, 60, of Brownstown passed away at 8:13am,
Sunday, November 16, 2014 at his home in Brownstown.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, December 7,
2014 at New Horizon Church, St. Elmo, IL (Church is located on
Tower Street). Memorials may be made to the Donor's Choice and will
be received by the funeral home.
Bruce was born May 7, 1954 in Sacramento, CA, the son of Alvin
and Grace (Culver) Petersen. He married Bonnie S. Coleman
April 23, 1983 in Sacramento, CA. Bruce was a US Army Vietnam
veteran and worked at Dawn Foods in St. Peter. Bruce was a
simple man who loved his family and his grandchildren and being
with them for the Holidays.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 31 years Bonnie; sons Jeremy
Petersen and wife Jenny of Placerville, CA and Adrian Petersen and
wife Natalie of Elk Grove, CA; daughters Jennifer Petersen and
boyfriend Jason Dicus of Olney, IL, Felicia and husband Travis
Hostettler of Flora, IL, and Emily and husband Dalton Rainey of
Greenville, IL; grandchildren Cole Petersen, Ethan Petersen and
Brody Bishop; brothers Alvin Petersen, John Petersen, and Robert
Petersen; and sisters Rosalie Reed, Marilyn Wardelman and Sandy
Dillard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Chris
Petersen.
