Carol Calhoun's Obituary
Carol Louise Calhoun, 72, of Vandalia passed away on August 29,
2014 at Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, August 31,
2014 at Forbis Cemetery, rural Bluff City, IL with Rev. Don Thomas
officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to
Forbis Cemetery.
Carol was born October 18, 1941 in Sefton Twp. Fayette Co. IL,
the daughter of Cecil and Zelma (Doyle) Forbis. She married
Lloyd "Sonny" Calhoun Jr. on January 11, 1988 in Vandalia; he
preceded her in death on August 14, 2005. Carol was a member
of Emmanuel Methodist Church, Women of the Moose, and Democratic
Women.
She is survived by seven step children; brother Ted Forbis and
wife Luella of Mayer, AZ; sisters Phyllis Bruno and Marcia Luster,
both of Vandalia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two
sisters.
