Carolyn Commuso's Obituary
Carolyn Commuso, 80, of Vandalia, IL passed away at10:08 PM, Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Hohlt and File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. Interment will follow in Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Carolyn Johnson was born on May 01, 1940 in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of Ray W. and Margaret M. (Morrow) Johnson. She married Pete Commuso on February 15, 1990; he preceded in death on January 01, 2015.
She is survived by her step-daughters, Denise and husband Bill Zumwalt of Columbia, MO, Laurie Probst and Russell Clark of Vandalia, and Teresa and husband Doyle Powell of Vandalia; step-son, Kent Commuso of McRae, AR; grandchildren, Christina Sasse of Baton Rouge, LA, Lindsay Probst of Davenport, IA, Caleb Probst and wife Kaytlin of Effingham, Andy Canning and wife Lindsay of Centralia, Tabitha Powell and Landyn Hubbard of Beckemeyer, and Joshua Commuso of McRae, AR; and great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremaih, Jeremain, and Kenzington.
She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Shelda Kaltschnee.
