Carolyn McCain's Obituary
Carolyn McCain, 80, of Vandalia passed away at 11:48pm, Tuesday,
January 12, 2016 at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care,
Vandalia.
A public visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm, Friday,
January 15, 2016 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home. A private
graveside service will be held following the visitation in Evans
Cemetery, rural Vandalia with Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. 
Memorials may be made to Evans Cemetery.
Carolyn was born November 19, 1935 at the family home near
Vandalia, the daughter of Elvin and Audrey (Tedrick) Hoffman. 
She married Floyd McCain October 15, 1955 in a double ceremony
along with her sister Janet and Floyd's brother Donald.  Floyd
preceded in death May 6, 2015.  She was a homemaker and
enjoyed the company of her family. 
She is survived by her daughters Sandra Shockey of Colorado
Springs, CO and Mary Ann and husband Christopher Wiley of Decatur,
IL; brothers Wayne Hoffman of Steger, IL, Billy Hoffman and wife
Patricia of Vandalia and Delbert Hoffman of Vandalia; sister Janet
and husband Donald McCain of Vandalia; seven grandchildren and
several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Norma
and twin sister Marilyn.
