Catherine Marjorie “Cathy” Fisher was born March 30, 1952 in Zanesville, OH, the daughter of Elden JR and Marjorie J. (Davis) Fisher. She married Leon M. Otto on June 21, 1980; together they shared over 40 years of marriage. Cathy worked for the U of I Extension Office in Vandalia and for Doctor Fulton and Ervin’s Dentist Office before starting a family with her husband, Leon.
Cathy and Leon attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ramsey with their children; once grown the children started families of their own and Cathy took on the role of grandma. Being Grandma to many was Cathy’s greatest joy in life. That love extended beyond her immediate family; she was the go-to babysitter for many of her nieces and nephews.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Leon Otto of Ramsey; father Elden Fisher of Vandalia; children, Lori Otto with James Riley of Ramsey, Scott Otto of Louisiana, Kari and husband Devin Holsapple of Newton, Staci Berkheimer of Trilla, Tim Otto of Ramsey, and Kevin Otto with Taylor Edwards of Ramsey; sisters, Sue Fisher and Diana Fisher; grandchildren, Alayna Riley, Elizabeth Otto, Krew, Chloe, Bayley, and Cagney Holsapple, Mackenzie Berkheimer, and Brailynn, Tinliegh, Aubrey, Bentley, Lydia, and Vanessa Otto.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Fisher; sister, Elaine Fisher; brothers, Jim Fisher and Dave Fisher.
