Chandra D. Scott, 51, of Vandalia, IL, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.
Per Chandra’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in Wilberton Cemetery, Shobonier. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
Chandra Donohoe Scott was born on December 23, 1973 in Vandalia, IL the daughter of Burrell Edward Scott and Patricia (Haynes) Marschke. Chandra was a graduate of Altamont High School. She was later employed by Walmart where she worked in the deli for nearly 20 years. Chandra, along with her friends, Azure Newman and Hanna Griggs, was an avid traveler and concert goer. Together, they got to experience new places and share their love for music.
Ms. Scott is survived by sister, Sue Dean; nephew, Robby Davis; niece, Jessamie Davis; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Georgia Colleen Davis.
