Charles "Charlie" Washburn, 77, of Vandalia, died at 12:35 AM,
Friday, April 20, 2012 at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 24,
201 2 at the First Baptist Church of Vandalia with the Rev. Claude
Howell officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-8 PM,
Monday, April 23, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Vandalia and
also 1 hour prior to services at the church Tuesday.

Mr. Washburn was born August 10, 1934 in Vandalia, the son of
Virgil and Helen (Ireland) Washburn. He married Mary Ann
Smith December 23, 1967 in Moweaqua, IL, she preceded him in death
December 10, 2000. He then married Eugenia "Jeannie" (Rose)
White October 23, 2011 at Evergreen Christian Church, Salem,
IL.
He was a member of Evergreen Christian Church, Salem, IL and the
Operating Engineers Local 520 Granite City, IL.
He is survived by wife Eugenia "Jeannie" (Rose) White Washburn,
Vandalia, IL; daughters Robin Ferrie and husband James, Vandalia,
IL, Tammy Guffey, Vandalia, IL, Tracy Hord and husband Leland, West
Liberty, IL; son Gary Washburn and wife Clarissa, Ramsey, IL, step
daughter Brenda and husband Les Sullens, Vernon, IL; step son Chris
White and wife Belinda, Iuka, IL; sister Rosalie Hart, Villa Grove,
IL; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren .
He was preceded in death by parents, wife Mary Ann, brother
Marvin Washburn, step daughter Bonnie White, 4 grandchildren, 1
great grandchild.
