Cole J. Campbell, 33, of Hillsboro, MO, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at his home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 05, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL with Dr. Ben Foxworth officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00AM-11:00AM, at the church. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Aten Cemetery, Hidalgo, IL. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
Cole Joseph Campbell was born on May 23, 1992 in Mattoon, IL, the son of Joseph Allan Campbell Jr. and Stacy Annette (Aten) Mesnard.
Cole was employed by Heitkamp Masonry in Ellisville, MO, as a union bricklayer; he had a deep passion for his work. An avid outdoorsman, Cole enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping, and expensive chocolate. Above all, he enjoyed the time spent with his family, friends, and his beloved dog, Apollo.
He will forever be remembered by his father, Joseph Campbell Jr. (Chrisy) of Greenville; mother, Stacy Mesnard (Jason) of Vandalia; paternal grandparents, Joseph Campbell Sr. (Lee Ann) of Rainbow City, AL and Beatrice Lutz (Ronnie) of Gulf Port, MS; maternal grandfather, Max Aten (Marilyn) of Greenville; girlfriend, Sierra Beaulieu of Linn, MO; half-brother, Jason (Angel); step-brothers, Cameron, Kyle (Jordan), Triston, and Micheal; step-sister, Beth (Brock); aunts, Amanda Aten and Angie Smith; uncle, Mick Aten (Amy); extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Anne Aten and a half-brother, Joshua.
