David Allen Meseke was born July 26, 1964 in Fayette County, IL, the son of James and Lucille (Magnus) Meseke. He married Mindy C. Boggs on June 08, 1985; together they have shared nearly 38 years of marriage. Dave and Mindy never had children of their own, but Amos Boggs was the next best thing; they adopted several of their family members and friends as their “kids”.

He loved hunting, traveling, going to the casino, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He looked forward to turkey camp every year and never turned down a chance to go out to eat with friends; wings and seafood were his favorite.
He is survived by his wife Mindy Meseke of Vandalia; brothers, Don Meseke and wife Cathi of Vandalia and Doug Meseke and wife Darla of Shobonier; sister, Donna and husband Steve Kuyath of Vandalia; nephews and nieces, Amos Boggs, Andy (Scott Tillman) Meseke, Amanda (Brandon) Engel, Blake (Marlene) Meseke, Dustin (Amy) Calhoun, Nathan Kuyath, Calvin (Annie) Boggs, Becky (Steve) Merkley, Matt (Sherrill) Boggs and family, and Megan Boggs and family; great nephews and nieces, Noah Calhoun, Will Calhoun, Kendal Merkley, Kennedy Merkley, and Kenden Merkley.
