Dennis Fritcher, 73, of St. Elmo passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Dennis Ray Fritcher was born January 02, 1952, in Effingham, IL, the son of Harry and Hattie (Bishop) Fritcher; Dennis was loved and raised by his sister, Linda and her husband Larry Riley. He married Barbara Lane, April 25, 1985; together they shared 40 years of marriage and grew their legacy by two children and four grandchildren, the true loves of his life.
Dennis was the definition of an outdoorsman; he was an avid fisherman and hunter; and was a devoted St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Barbara Fritcher of St. Elmo; daughter, Katy and husband Ronnie Stevens of St. Elmo; son, Bob and wife Amanda of St. Elmo; grandchildren, Branson, Ember, Henry, and Elaina Jo; siblings, Linda, Larry, David, Marilyn, Vicki, Sharon, and Alice; many nieces and nephews that held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bill, Danny, Fred, Ted, Jack, Jim, Diane, Betty, Judy, and Shirley.
