DeWayne "Dee" Walton Douglas' Obituary
Mrs. DeWayne L. "Dee" Walton Douglas, 61, of Vandalia passed
away at 6:25pm, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Barnes Jewish
Hospital, St. Louis.
Services for Dee Walton will be held at 11:00am, Saturday,
November 7, 2015 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with
visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in
Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Memorials may be made to Second
Chance Animal Rescue.
Dee was born September 9, 1954 in Vandalia, the daughter of
Wayne E. and Grace E. (Darner) Walton. She attended and
graduated from Greenville College, married John Douglas August 15,
1987, he preceded her in death on December 15, 1989. She was
a companion and caregiver to her mother Grace for many years.
Dee was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and affiliated
with the First United Methodist Church of Vandalia.
She is survived by her sisters Linda Walton and Mary and
husband Stephen Poole; furry companion Pugs; and her friends and
caregivers.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
