Dominic Anthony Farace Jr., 88, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 11:36 AM Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his daughter’s residence in Vandalia.
Services for Mr. Farace will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Fayette County Health Department Hospice.
Dominic Anthony Farace Jr. was born January 20, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Dominic and Mary (Spicazzi) Farace. He married Dorothy Chaparas on April 21, 1951 in St. Louis. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver, owning and operating his own semi, and also farmed for many years.
Mr. Farace is survived by his son John Farace of St. Louis; daughters Chris Hill and husband Jeff of Vandalia, Paulette Foster and husband Glenn of Highland, and Lori Ward and husband Jim of Vandalia; eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, and two sisters.
