Dora Ellen Weaver's Obituary
Dora Ellen Weaver, 97, of Vandalia, IL passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
In accordance with the wishes of the family cremation rites will take place. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Green Hill Cemetery, Van Burensburg with Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Memorials may be made to Hohlt & File Funeral Home.
Dora Ellen Weaver was born on January 29, 1922 in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of the late George and Julia (Perry) Weaver. She was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church, rural Vandalia until it later dissolved. Dora had an avid love for horses and eventually began collecting figurines.
She is survived by her brother, Ray Howard Weaver of Vandalia and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruby Lavon Martin, Gladdys Pauline Tackett, and Mary Ann Weaver; and also, an infant sister
