Dorothy "Dottie" Kistler's Obituary
Dorothy "Dottie" Kistler, 81, of
Channahon died at 4:05pm, Friday, November 15, 2013.
Services will be held at 10a.m.
Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in
Vandalia, burial to follow in German Reform Cemetery in rural
Brownstown. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday
at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia. Memorials may
be made to Four Mile Christian Church of Brownstown.
She was born September 3, 1932,
in Chicago, daughter of Elbert and Dorothy (Crain) Poppen.
She married Fredrick "Fred" Kistler September 25, 1954 in Chicago;
together they ran the Pepsi Cola distributing center in Vandalia
for many years. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2008.
Surviving are their daughter Tricia and husband Roger Banks
of Channahon; Grandson Justin Ehrman of Channahon; and sister Jean
Snyder of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, and granddaughter Grace Banks.
