Edith Elmore's Obituary
Edith Marie Elmore, 88, of Mulberry Grove formerly of Vandalia passed away at 2:15pm, Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
A Funeral Service will be held at 9:30am, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery, rural Mulberry Grove, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, Monday, November 13, 2017 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia. Memorials may be made to the APDA-American Parkinson Disease Association or Donor’s Choice.
Edith Marie Elmore was born June 13, 1929 in Macon, IL the daughter of Edmund and Vonna (Neathery) Elam. Edith worked as a waitress and at different factories, later she worked for Community Care as a homemaker helping others in their homes.
She is survived by her children, son Randall "Randy" Lash of Mulberry Grove; daughters Sandra “Sandy” and husband Michael Ray of Patoka, Candace “Candy” and husband Michael Hall of Vandalia, and Tammy Pyle of Mulberry Grove; grandchildren Valerie and husband Butch Biermann, Jeremy Ray, Chris Hall, Amy Hall, Andrew Hall, Kayla McClaren, Cody Pyle and wife Bethany, and Trever Pyle; and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Lawrence Elam.
