Edward Clarence Black was born on July 28, 1967 in Killeen, TX, to Joel Edwards and Wilma Mandrell. He was later adopted by his parents, Edward E. and Ellen L. (Yenny) Black.
Eddie was a hardworking industrial painter for the Painters and Allied Trades District Council #58 for much of his life. He travelled all across the United States painting water towers and bridges and it was a common occurrence to hear him say, “I painted that” as you passed one.
Wherever he was, you could find him cruising on his Harley at sunset. As far as riding clubs go, he was a member of none, but a supporter of many. He was a generous man who was willing to help anyone he crossed paths with. Eddie was also a member of Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447.
He is survived by his birth father, Joel Edwards and wife Patsy of Ridgeway, VA; birth mother, Wilma Mandrell of Panama City, FL; daughters, Rebeka and husband Elijah Hiatt of Mt. Vernon, IL, Hailey Black of Denver, CO and Kaylin Black of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Aiden, Hudson, and Gwendolyn, all of Mt. Vernon, IL; siblings, : Mike Edwards and wife Sandy of Galax, VA, Vanessa and husband John Dryden of Poquoson, VA, Shelly Pittenger of Calvert City, KY, Kelly Edwards of Paducah, KY, and Jackee Rhodes of Panama City, FL; step-siblings, Chad Stallard and wife Hope of Ridgeway, VA and Jerry Stallard of Martinsville, VA; extended family, countless friends and his two beloved dogs Blackey and Browney.
