Edward Green's Obituary
Edward John Green, 62, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 9:12pm,
Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield,
IL.
A Graveside Service will be held 4:30, Saturday, November 15,
2014 at Pinhook Cemetery, rural Vandalia with Mr. Haron Denton
officiating and military rites accorded by Crawford-Hale American
Legion Post #95 and Brownstown VFW Post#9770. Visitation will
be held from 2:00-4:00pm, Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Hohlt
& File Funeral Home, Vandalia. Memorials may be made to
the family of Ed Green.
Ed was born March 12, 1952, in Vandalia, the son of Bruce "Aub"
Green Sr. and Mildred "Billie" (Hanson) Green. He married
Kathy (Hames) Green on December 21, 1990. Ed worked
construction before retiring. He served in the US Navy during
Vietnam, was a member of the Vandalia American Legion Post #95 and
was affiliated with St. James Lutheran Church in Vandalia.
Ed is survived by his wife Kathy Green, daughter Melissa Green,
step daughter Tiffany Holland, step son Justin Holland all of
Vandalia, IL, sisters Patricia "Pat" Dunbar of Belleville, IL,
Eileen Edwards of Knob Noster, MO, and Margaret Krajeski of
Bakersfield, CA, brother Bruce Green Jr. and wife Paula of
Shobonier, IL and grandchildren Ava Knebel and Rylen Warren of
Vandalia, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Will Green.
