Eleanore "Peggy" Lippold's Obituary
Eleanore "Peggy" Lippold, 93, of Vandalia, passed away at
7:25pm, Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Sweetbriar Retirement Home in
Vandalia.
Services for Mrs. Lippold will be held at 11:00am, Saturday,
November 16, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr.
Roger Grimmett, Pastor officiating. Memorials may be made to
Fayette County Health Department Hospice or First United Methodist
Church.
Peggy was born August 14, 1920, in Carlinville, the daughter of
Albert and Mary (Geiser) Hoppe.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Vandalia.
Mrs. Lippold is survived by her daughters Julie Hicks of
Edwardsville, Barbara Ann and husband Frank Randolph of Medora, and
Jeanne and husband Wolfram Schlicht of Vandalia; grandchildren;
great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and her sister
Norma Zier of Seattle Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 3 brothers,
3 sisters, and a great grandchild.
Per Peggy's wishes her body was donated to science via the SIU
School of Medicine.
