Elizabeth "Betsy" Dukes' Obituary
Betsy Dukes of Herrick, IL passed away 1:40AM, Monday, September
14, 2015 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Mrs. Dukes was born June 4, 1941, in the Netherlands the
daughter of Jacob and Patricia (Buikema) Hofman and married Thomas
Dukes June 22, 1982. She was a homemaker and an active member
of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's
Witnesses in Vandalia on Saturday, September 26 at 3:00pm.
Memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall - Jehovah's Witnesses.
Betsy is survived by her father Jacob Hofman of Vandalia;
husband Tom Dukes of Herrick; children Lori Siems, Jonathan
Charneskey, and Lisa Holland; step children Vernon Dukes, Thomas
Dukes Jr., Wanda Plizzi, Bryon Dukes, and Rebecca Stuppi; sister
Karen and husband Arthur Goodlick; brother Ted Hofman and wife
Marilyn; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia (Buikema)
Hofman.
