Eloise Willms' Obituary
Eloise M. Willms, 90, of rural Brownstown, passed away at
3:55am, Saturday, July 4, 2015 at her home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, July 7, 2015
at Northside Christian Church, Vandalia with Rev. Carl Rhodes
officiating. Burial will follow in Pinhook Cemetery, rural
Vandalia. Memorials may be made to Fayette County Health
Department Hospice or Friends and Families of Fayette County
Hospital/Long Term Care.
Eloise was born April 27, 1925 in Vandalia, the daughter of
William Leonard and Nona (Campbell) Oglesby. She worked as an
IL Bell Telephone Operator after graduating high school, and
retired from Crane Packing as a supervisor. Eloise was a
member of Unity Baptist Church formerly First Baptist Church of
Vandalia; she was a member of the Vandalia American Legion
Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary
#3901.
Eloise is survived by her sons Fred Willms and wife Renee of
Vandalia and David Willms and wife Melissa of Brownstown, daughter
Nona and husband Gene Beckman of Vandalia, four grandchildren and
eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Wayne Oglesby;
sisters Alice Morton, Lucille Yarbrough, and Donna Green.
