Evelyn Talbott's Obituary
Evelyn Aliece Talbott, 88, of Vandalia, passed away at 3:25pm,
Wednesday,January 29, 2014 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in
Effingham.
Services for Mrs. Talbott will be held at 11:00am, Saturday,
February 1, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Vandalia with Rev. Doug
Wodtka officiating.  A visitation will be held from
9:00-11:00am prior to the service at the church.  Burila will
follow in Vernon Cemetery, Vernon, IL.  Memorials may be made
to the VandaliaEagles Aerie #3901.
Evelyn was born March 20, 1925 in Sandoval, the daughter of
Robert and Mable (Watkins) Hathaway. She married her second husband
Wayne "Bud" Talbott on January 30, 1982 in Vandalia; he preceded
her in death on December 16, 1995.  Evelyn retired from Crane
Packing after 26 years of work.  She was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Vandalia;Eagles #3901 Aerie in
Vandalia; Vandalia VFW Auxiliary; and Vandalia American
Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son Dennis Chatham and wife Linda of
Ramsey, IL; daughters Dianne Richards of Vandalia and Darlene and
husband Allen Caylor of Indianapolis, IN; brother Wayne Hathaway
and wife Betty of Vandalia; sister Ruth and husband David Dugan of
Mulberry Grove, IL; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren;
and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Chatham,
husband Wayne Talbott, brothers Morris Hathaway and Gene Hathaway,
and sister Lillian Reed.
