Gene Osborne's Obituary
Gene Osborne, 87, of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, August 21,
2012 at Fayette County Hospital Long Term care.
Services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, August 24, 2012 at
Bethel Baptist Church, rural Vandalia, Visitation will be held from
10-11 AM, Friday, August 24, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church, rural
Vandalia. Burial will follow in Browning Cemetery, rural
Vandalia. Memorials may be made to Browning Cemetery Fund or
Fayette County Relay for Life.
Mr. Osborne was born October 5, 1924, the son of Clifford and
Elva (Elam) Osborne. He married Lois Lucille Atwood on June
1, 1947. She preceded him in death January 11, 2007.
Mr. Osborne was a self employed farmer.
He is survived by his sons Larry Osborne and Terry Osborne and
wife Jody, all of Vandalia; brother Frank Osborne of Pana;
Grandchildren Summer, Heather, and Nolan Osborne; Taylor Osborne
and wife Candace, Tyler Osborne and wife Ashley; Great
Grandchildren Tristyn and Trevyn Osborne; Julianne Osborne; Connor
and Jadyn Osborne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold Osborne,
an infant brother, and daughter-in-law Carol Osborne
