Harold Thoman's Obituary
Harold C. Thoman, 76, of Oregon, IL formerly of Ramsey, IL,
passed away at 1:30am, Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Oregon, IL.
Services for Mr. Thoman will be held at 11:00am, Friday,
February 1, 2013 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with
Rev. Tim Logue officiating.  Masonic Services will be held at
10:30am, Friday, February 1, 2013 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home,
Vandalia, and a visitation will be held from 10-11am, Friday,
February 1, 2013 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia.
Mr. Thoman was born March 18, 1936 in Ramsey, IL, the son of
John and Virginia (Poland) Thoman.  He married Shirlene
(Thomas) Thoman July 3, 1999 in Vandalia.  He served in the US
Army and was employed as a construction worker, farmer, and heavy
equipment operator.  He was a member of Vera Baptist Church,
Vera, IL; VFW Post #3862; Masons Temperance Lodge #16 AF & AM;
AINAD Shriners Club; former member of the Moose Lodge
#1447. 
He is survived by his wife Shirlene Thoman of Oregon, IL;
daughters Connie Hobler and husband Mike of Vandalia, IL, Sherri
Workman and husband Scott of Vandalia, IL, and Sandra Gibson and
husband Troy of Ramsey, IL; step son Gordy Prentice and wife Andrea
of Rockford, IL and Annette Speck of Rockford, IL; brother Herbert
Thoman and friend Judy Critcheloe of Vandalia, IL; 8 Grandchilren;
6 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 step great
grandchildren; and 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Karen Thoman,
and brother Donald Thoman
