Harry Richard "Dick" Perry's Obituary
Harry Richard Perry, age 88, passed away on Friday, March 30,
2012 in Sebring, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, April 7,
2012 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Pastor Peter Kolb and
Pastor Jerry Bagwell officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty
Christian Church Cemetery, Brownstown, IL with military rites
accorded by Crawford-Hale American Legion Post #95 of Vandalia.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 until time of service at the
church. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Radio
Ministry.
He was born in Casey, Illinois on January 26, 1924, son of
Charles and Bessie (Snyder) Perry. He married Malinda L. Perry
January 27, 1984 in Vandalia, he was a Service Manager for an
Automotive Company; served in the U.S. Navy during World War II;
served in the Civil Conservation Corp; was a volunteer fireman and
was a life guard, and was of the Lutheran Faith; He enjoyed hunting
and fishing and was a resident of Vandalia, Illinois and a winter
resident of Sebring, FL for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife, Malinda L. Perry of Vandalia,
Illinois and Sebring, FL; Daughter, Brenda(Sam) Ellis of Brandon,
FL; Son, Rick(Jill) Perry of Vandalia, IL; Daughter, Bev(Jim)
Atchley of Kirkwood, MO; Son, Wayne(Jacque) Brazle of Greenwood,
AK; Sister, Ramona Miller of Casey, IL; 10 grandchildren and 7
great grandchildren.
