Heather Lea (Davis) Hill, 50, of St. Elmo, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Per the family’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Pastor Brett Cornelius officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 AM, Saturday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Heather Lea Davis was born on December 19, 1974, in Effingham, IL, to William Lee Davis and Lisa Ann Bernhardt. She dedicated her career to the service industry, working at various restaurants in the area, with her most recent position at Little Caesars. Heather had a deep love for music, everything Disney, and the color purple. Above all, she adored her grandchildren.
She will forever be remembered by her mother, Lisa Bernhardt of Vandalia; son, Coe Hill with Alyssa Nihiser of St. Elmo; daughter, Izabella Hill of Vandalia; grandchildren, Rhaenyra, Raeden, and Baela; extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by her father; step-daughter, Faith Porter; paternal grandfather, Robert Davis; paternal grandmother, Bettie Davis; maternal grandfather, Dean Bernhardt; and maternal grandmother, Shirley Bernhardt.
