Helen Varga's Obituary
Mrs. Helen Varga, 97, of Vandalia, died Tuesday May 1, 2012 at
Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care, Vandalia. 
A Visitation will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 PM
at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia, and also from 1-4 PM,
Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Kristan Funeral Home, Mundelien, IL. 
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00, Monday, May 7, 2012
at St. Mary of Vernon Church, Indian Creek, IL.   Burial
will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
Memorials may be made to Overcup Baptist Church or to the
organization of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Varga was born July 10, 1914 in Durnbach, Austria, the
daughter of John Sr. and Anna (Herits) Horvath.  She married
Vincent Varga in 1932 at St. Stephen King of Hungary Church,
Chicago, IL, he preceded he in death in November 1959.  
While in Chicago she was a service manager for Jewel Foods, and
from there she retired.  She was affiliated with the Roman
Catholic Church.   
Mrs. Varga is survived by two sons Robert Varga and wife Judy of
Vandalia, IL and Raymond Varga and wife Margaret of Punta Gorda,
FL; grandchildren Karyn Charmley, Suzanne MacMichael, Thomas Varga,
Holly Norris, Heidi Upchurch; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great
grandchildren; sister in laws Eleanor Horvath of Grayslake, IL and
Lena Treplan of Schachendorf, Austria; nephew James Horvath of
Nederland, CO and niece Mary Ann Balas of Grayslake, IL. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother
John Horvath Jr.
