Henry Lee “Hank” Hott, 67, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 7:53 AM, Sunday, September 19, 2021 at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.
Per Hank’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a children’s foundation of the donor’s choosing. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com
Henry Lee Hott was born November 20, 1953 in Kansas City, MO the biological son of Henry Fields and Norma (LeRette). He was adopted by Norma’s husband, Clifford Hott, whom he called his father. Hank married Linda Sue Forehand on December 28, 1982; together they celebrated nearly 39 years of marriage.
Hank was a Veteran; serving in the United States Air Force. He was also a retired firefighter; employed by the Fort Richardson Fire Department in Alaska for 21 years. Hank was well known for his generosity. He loved hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, and crafting; especially painting and working with ceramics. He was a member of The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA); the world's largest single-marque social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing/Valkyrie motorcycles.
Mr. Hott is survived by his wife, Linda Hott of Vandalia; son, Aaron Hott of Washington; daughter, Terry Jo Hott of Ottawa; adoptive daughter, Sara Danielle Forehand of Centralia; step-daughter, Jamie Sisk; brother, Les Hott of Milan; sisters, Faith Kennedy of Milan and Valerie Canada of Morris; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Norma Hott; biological father, Henry Fields; brother, Jon Hott; and two infant grandchildren.
