Jacqueline “Jackie” Mae Forbes, 71, of rural Vandalia, passed away on June 10, 2021 at SBL Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30am, Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Ramsey with Rev. Jeff Shouse officiating. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ramsey; Village Bible Church of Sugar Grove, IL; or St. John’s Lutheran Church & School in Chaska, MN. Jackie Shimmin Forbes was born January 13, 1950, in Libertyville, IL, the daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth (Krieger) Shimmin. She attended school in Wheeling, IL, graduating in 1968; and furthered her education at Trinity College, graduating in 1996. Jackie was an administrative assistant for the General Baptist Conference in Arlington Heights, IL for many years.
She married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” A. Forbes on November 26, 2011; together they shared nearly 6 years of married before his passing on August 21, 2017.
Jackie is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Shimmin; sister, Bernardine and husband Jeff Stillman; brother in law, Larry Pendleton; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband; sisters, Cindy Pendleton and Sharon Shimmim.
