James Reibel's Obituary
James M. Reibel, 57, of Brownstown, IL, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at SBL Fayette County Hospital.
Per Jim’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life and Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Connection Church, where he was a member. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
James Marion Reibel was born on August 14, 1967 in Chicago, IL, the son of James and Joan (Malkowski) Reibel. He was a talented carpenter as well as a supervisor at Van Seal, Vandalia. Later in life, Jim married Debra Rae Henna on December 17, 2012. Together they shared 17 years. Jim was an avid writer and concert goer, in which he enjoyed all genres of music. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Reibel of Brownstown; brother, Jerard Reibel and wife Sarah of Crete; brother, Jeremy Reibel and wife Kim of Chicago; extended family and friends.
Mr. Reibel was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeff Reibel.
