Jeffry Gerard Gerlach was born on September 10, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, one of three sons born to Kenneth Gerlach Sr. and Joyce (Pfaender) Gerlach.
Jeff married Beverly (Hodges), and together they shared more than 30 years of marriage and were blessed with three daughters. Though their marriage later ended, they shared many years of family and memories together.
Throughout his career, Jeff worked as a truck driver for several companies. He had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and enjoyed spending time watching videos of them. Jeff was also passionate about classic cars. He loved attending car shows and drag races, where he could admire the vehicles.
He is survived by his daughter, Kate Gerlach and wife Melissa(Devall) of Vandalia; daughter, Anna Gerlach and wife Amanda Wade of Belleville; the mother of his children, Beverly Gerlach of Vandalia; brother, Paul Gerlach and wife Toni of St. Charles, MO; 2 grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; infant daughter, Elizabeth Gerlach; and a brother, Kenneth Gerlach Jr.
