John Arthur DuFaux, 73, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 11:05 PM, Monday, January 29, 2018 at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A visitation will be held from 6:00- 8:00 PM, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Hohlt and File Funeral Home, Vandalia. Casual dress is requested. Memorials may be made to the Family of John A. DuFaux.
John Arthur DuFaux was born on October 5, 1944 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Vincent and Louella (Crenshaw) DuFaux. John was a self-employed truck driver for many years.
He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Lutz and husband Dan of Vandalia, and Stephanie DuFaux of Brownstown; sons, John DuFaux and wife Georganne of Vandalia, and Christopher DuFaux of Missouri; brothers, Vincent DuFaux of Lesterville, MO, and Raymond DuFaux of Vandalia; sister, Sharon Becker of Taylor Springs; grandchildren, Amanda Hachmeister of Codell, KS, Chelsey Lutz of Codell, KS, Nathan Lutz of Vandalia, Zackary Betti of Rockford, Hayley Watts of Beecher City, Sue DuFaux of Effingham, Mathew DuFaux of Brownstown, Kain DuFaux of Vandalia, and Rainey DuFaux of Vandalia and a great-grandson, Broderick Young of Effingham
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Louella DuFaux.
