John Douglas Greer, 64, of Vandalia passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Fayette County Hospital ER.

John Douglas Greer was born September 1, 1955 in Vandalia, son of John David and Sara Elizabeth (Belden) Greer. He was a Vandalia High School Alumni, a US Navy Veteran, and a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Vandalia. Doug received certification as an X-Ray technician from Kaskaskia College and was most recently employed by the Sunshine House Health Food Store in Vandalia. He enjoyed golfing and meeting new people.
He is survived by his mother, Sara “Betty” Greer and brother, David Greer, both of Vandalia.
And was preceded in death by his father, John David Greer and sister, Julie Ann Greer.
